Seven Months!

Bruce is Seven Months today ...
We went to the doctor to get his second flu shot.
He still has a little cold.
He's had runny nose for a week now :(
I wanted to make sure its okay to still get the flu shot in his condition.
Doctor checked his breathing, ear, eyes, etc etc, he's okay.
Just pilek (runny/stuffy nose).
But she said if in a couple of days he's still pilek, he needs to take antibiotic :(

So he still got the flu shot.
He was so good about it, cried for only a couple of seconds, then back playing with his toy.Hihi

He is 22lbs and 6oz.
He's a lot more mobile now, crawling everywhere. He can pull himself up, so he would crawl to the nearest wall, tv stand, diaper boxes, changing table, etc etc to stand up.

Definitely cannot sit still.

He's not even walking yet but we have to watch him all the time because he moves so much. haha..

Bruce's First Snow!

We went to Indonaz Retreat on Thanksgiving weekend.
The place is called Jenness Park in Long Barn, CA.
It was snowing!!!
It was Bruce's first snow!!
Look ....

I was very nervous going to this retreat because Bruce never stays over anywhere and he hates riding in the car. But everything went well.
We left at his naptime, so he slept for two hours, and watching Yo Gabba Gabba for an hour. haha ...

bite bite bite

Im not sure if it's because Bruce has started his teething process, or he is already in that phase where he explore everything through his mouth.
He eats everything he can get his hands on!
I have to wash everything and make sure my hands are clean too ... he eats my fingers a lot >.<

Bruce is 5 months and 8 days today ... its his magic number! 5-8!
Hihihi
(Im sure I wont remember when he's 5 years and 8 months, so lets just celebrate now. hahaha)

Five Months - Play Play!

Bruce is 5 months now :)
We weighed him at home, he's already 20lbs!! hohoho...
He's getting more and more active now. He really loves to play.
So, since his auntie Petra moved out, I sometimes took him to her empty room for tummy time. He liked it there...

Then Papa Bruce decided to turn this room into a Play Room!! He loves it!!

... and I can join him, too! Usually he plays alone, now Hendra and I can have tummy time as well! hihihi....

Bruce also had a great time playing here with his buddy, Rian, when he came to visit. It was so much fun!

Four Months!

sorry for the late post ...
I've been so busy lately. Bruce is awake a lot more now during day time, and thankfully, sleep a lot during night time :)

Bruce comes with us to the warehouse almost everyday.
He plays and naps in the office....


helps me work... (this is us in front of computer)


and enjoys looking around the warehouse with me.
He likes the toys section and fishing section.
We walk around using the tigger stroller....


or baby bjorn, this helps a lot now that Bruce is heaaavyyyy


On Friday, we went to his Pediatrician, Dr. Quan, for 4 month check up.
Everything is good. Doctor was very pleased to see him.
He is now 26" long (90th percentile)
and 18lbs 10 oz!! (97th percentile!!!!)


He got his immunization shots again, poor baby he cried his lungs out.





This time he was cranky until Sunday!
That friday night he cried endlessly and developed a slight fever.
But he's fine now :)

Baby Octopus

Bruce received a toy from Tante Kumala,
our friend from San Ramon church,
but it's still too big for him ...



So I found another use of it ....

hihihi ... Bruce has his own salon now.
I use this when shaving his head.
He's such a good baby, he doesn't move so much while I use the clipper.
I guess he likes the vibration on his head.
Hendra said he looks like baby octopus, hihihi....

Three Months

Suddenly, Bruce is Three Months Young already :-P
and he deserves to have his own blog.
It's not about my pregnancy anymore, its about him. Hehe...

Bruce grew so fast.
I don't know how big he is now because we haven't been to the doctor yet.
But I know he's more than 14.25lbs and 24" (his 2 months check up)
He grew out most of his clothes already.
He is now wearing some clothes that says "6-9 mth"
His bassinet is too small now, barely enough room to move.
He doesn't need extra pad in his carseat anymore .... (picture below)


Hendra said Bruce looks very wise in that '3 month' pictures... hihi ... he looks so big!
Well, he is!

He likes to chat a lot.
Plenty of coos, goos, ga ga, ang goo goo, arghh, and awuu ... especially after feeding and changing.

He smiles a lot :-)
He wakes up in the morning and smile when he sees me or hendra.
He smiles and laugh when we play with him.


He is such a happy baby :)
I will post more pictures later.

I forgot to mention this last time.
The Doctor told me it's time to give Bruce a lot of tummy-time so he can train to raise his head.
I showed her this video ^_^
Doctor said, "oww ... okay .. yea, do that."

Two Months

Bruce is Two Months alreadyy ... !!

We came back from his doctor today for two months check up.
Everything is good with Bruce. He's healthy, no more jaundice. (yay!)
Doctor was surprised when she saw him,
"Wooow, you look like a four month old baby! So big and alert!"
Here's his measurement :
Head Size : 15 3/4" -- percentile : 55% (average)
Length : 23 3/4" -- percentile : 75% (above average)
Weight : 14.25 lbs -- percentile : 95%!! (waaay above average! hahaha)
Bruce is heavy!!
Doctor gave two thumbs up to us ^_^
(yeah, to me too. Good supply of milk!!)

Poor baby got FOUR shots on his thighs today :(
He got five vaccines today ... one by mouth, like a syrup. Bruce likey...
If only all the immunizations were like that ...
But no, just one, the rest must be shot on both of his thighs.
He cried his lungs out.
I can really tell he was hurting because he doesn't cry like that at home.
(thank God)

As for me, I'm feeling great.
I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight already. Thank's to breastfeeding and lack of sleep!
Haha.
A lot less baby blues now.
I'm enjoying every minute I spend with this precious little boy :)
(yes, even at 3am)

Bruce wants to skip rolling over, standing, and crawling straight to walking. Papa is training him for US World Cup already. Hahahha...

First Supermarket Trip!

Two weeks!

Bruce is two weeks old now!
Two days ago at his doctor's, he weighs 9 lbs.
He lost about 10 oz. on the first week.
I was so worried. But then he drinks a lot, poops a lot, now he's 1 lb more than his birth weight alreadyyy ... yay!
Doctor said usually babies lost weight at the beginning and back to his birth weight within two weeks. Bruce dah lewat ... heheheh...

Bruce got a present from US Government.
His Social Security Card arrived in the mail today!
and it doesnt have the notes "not valid for employment" hahahah
*mommy jealous.

Happy two weeks, Bruce!!

Circumsized

Bruce is 12 days old today.
We went to his pediatrician to have him circumcised.
I really wanted to do this in the hospital, when he was still one or two days old.
But Bruce was born on the weekend, something with the insurance not covering it on the weekend (idk, weird). And apparently the hospital was crowded that weekend.
So they scheduled him today, May 20th.
Dr said its the same within the first 3 weeks anyway.
Ya wes...

We got there at 11:15am.
Me, Hendra, my mom and Steph went there together. hehehe
It took a while for the nurse to prep everything ...
Bruce was crying when we had to take off his clothes.
Good thing we brought a thick blanket.
Susternya lama banget seh!! *ugh
Then she brought in a board called Circumstraint. It has Velcro straps to restrain the baby's arms and legs so that he cannot move.
I lost it ... I cried ... I couldnt bear the thought of him being restrained and in pain.

The Doctor came in and asked only one person to be present there.
She felt uncomfortable performing the procedure with too many people watching.
I obviously couldn't stay.
So only Hendra stayed during the whole thing.

After about 20min or so ...
Hendra came to the waiting room and called us back in.
He said Bruce was very strong.
He cried at the beginning but was very quiet afterwards.
Even the Doctor was amazed and called him "Superstar" !!

Bruce Alexander Christianus Hutagaol

Finally, our baby BACH was born :)
....and after several days I can return to Internet world again. haha..

Bruce is 6 day-old today ... and he's such a good baby.
I love him so muchhhh ... !! I can stare at him for hours gk bosen2 ... cant believe he's here.

Ohh lots of stories alreadyy ... there's at least 3 blogs-worth per day I can write about our last 5 days! I wish I could be like Destri who can feed the baby and update blog at the same time. haha..
but I'll try to catch up soon.
In the mean time, I try to take as many picts as possible !! hehehe
